The Varsity Squad went into the second of two season match-ups with Floral Park knowing that earning even a draw would increase their chances of a post season berth. The first meeting between the host Owls and the visiting Knights was a touch one for the home team as they lost the game 0-3 behind a number of early mistakes in the game. The Owls were expecting to come out with a bit more fight in them as they have been playing better as of late and knew that Floral Park was a team they could definitely play with.

Unfortunately, after feeling out each other in the first 10 minutes, the visiting Knights took advantage once again of some poor decisions by the Owls as they surrendered 3 goals in the next 10 minutes. The first goal in the 13th minute was scored by the Floral Park left midfielder who was left unmarked by the Owls midfield. The second was scored by the Knights right side striker who was left alone by the Lynbrook Left back defender. The 3rd goal scored in the 17th minute was a result of a hesitant play by goal keeper Jake Prince (3 saves) who allowed a floating ball to land in the box where it was knocked over his head with a suspect high kick and bounced into the back of the net to put Floral Park up by 3.

The Owls went into half time dejected and lacking answers as they were playing without 2 key starters due to injury and a club game. Although true, the roster was more than capable of playing with Floral Park and began to find some success in the second half. Unfortunately, all of the wind was taken out of the Owls sail in the 60th minute when Floral Parked in their 4th goal to reach the final margin of victory.

With the loss, the Owls fall to 4-6 and now must win out against Bethpage and Wantagh to make the post season. Although not impossible, the Owls will need to right the ship and play each game as if it is their own personal Playoffs!!
