The Fall 2025 Soccer Season gets underway!!

31 Aug by Coach Berlin

The Fall. 2025 Soccer season got underway this past week as almost 60 Lynbrook High School boys made the choice to come out and try out for the Fall Varsity and JV soccer teams.

After a summer full of player workouts, conditioning workouts, and summer league games, the boys showed up bright and early on August 25 hoping to secure a spot on one of the two team rosters. This year with a large returning senior class and a tremendously large freshman class, decisions were going to be difficult for the coaching staff as they evaluated not only the boys’ fitness and soccer skill, but their gameplay and decision-making.

When the tryout process came to a close late in the week, 25 young men were selected, and given the invitation to join the varsity team. 27 other young men mostly freshman and sophomores, were invited to be a part of the junior varsity program.

With the tryout process behind us now, we turn our sites to putting together an on the field product that these boys can be proud of and find success. As many of you know, the full Soccer season is fast and furious. We open up with games this week against Hewlett on 9/2 and Lawrence on 9/4; both non-league tuneups for the regular season. The regular season opens up next Monday, 9/8 when the varsity boys host Valley Stream South at 5:30 PM on the North turf field. JV will travel to Valley Stream South and they kick off at the high school at 5 PM.

Wishing our players and coaches success as the season starts. Best of luck Owls!!
